Niantic’s augmented reality game Peridot has unveiled several changes in its latest August 2023 update. Enhancements include a streamlined Hatching process, new game events, and several other features. We’ll take a look at what’s planned for the update.
Peridot now lets you see hatching costs upfront
It was mainly about simplifying the hatching process. Dots’ hatching costs will now be shown upfront. The variety of Dots can be explored and hatched at the same time, fostering a smoother experience since they will be able to initiate hatching without sending a request for approval.
You can create an original Dot by breeding two Peridots to create a new Archetype. With Hatch-a-Dot, you can breed your Dot with other dots from across the globe to produce unique offspring.
Whether you are looking for a specific type of Dot to hatch or simply want to collaborate with other Keepers, Campfire is a great place to discover different types of Dots worldwide.
Furthermore, the in-game events include Wild Dots which will be introduced to Habitats globally during Trait Week, providing an enhanced neighbourhood exploration experience.
You can expect Wild Dots at the following upcoming game events:
- Monday, August 21 local time: Horns from existing Archetypes (ie. Ram, Shell, etc.)
- Tuesday, August 22 local time: Wild Dots with Staircase and Crown Horns
- Wednesday, August 23 local time: Wild Dots with Demon and Spire Horns
- Thursday, August 24 local time: Wild Dots with Stacked and Spiral Horns
- Friday, August 25 local time: All Wild Dots featured throughout the week
In addition, all of these events will be held at local time. Without a doubt, this event will be very beneficial for anybody interested in discovering more dots.
