Join in the fun and meet new friends at Peridot’s new Community Events! In the past, Niantic has been commended for being regular hosts of Community Event days like these. These Community Events give players a chance to venture outside their neighbourhoods and, of course, meet other players! Pokémon GO and Pikmin Bloom players are very familiar with this feat, and now, it is time to get the ball rolling for their newly released, Peridot! So far, the first Community Event weekend was in May, leading to the second one in mid-June. We are crossing our fingers hard, hoping that this will be a monthly affair!
Peridot hosted its first-ever Community Day event from the 19th to the 21st May 2023, where keepers would come together and take part in fun activities. They introduced limited-time bonuses, like the Dewdrop foraging bonus, where twice as many Dewdrops could be found when your Dot forages in places containing dirt, water and sand, at POIs during a set date and time. More Dewdrop-related quests were also added for players to complete to win Gemstones! On top of that there were multiple discounts and offers at the in-game store.
The second Community Day weekend happened from the 9th to the 12th of June 2023. June’s event featured a Kelp foraging bonus. Forage in bodies of water or unnatural grounds at POIs during a specific time and date to get Kelp! Just like the Dewdrops the month before, players were rewarded with Gemstones for completing special Kelp related quests. To top the last Community Day event, there was a 50% discount on Sundrops and Gemstones at the in-game store for a shopping spree! You could also join in on the AR Photo Contest. Show off your dots in a beach-themed photo challenge by taking photos and tagging @playperidot on Twitter, TikTok or Instagram.
