Pet Simulator X: Does Robux Grow on Trees?

Pet Simulator X: Does Robux Grow on Trees?

Well, if you haven’t yet heard, Roblox has recently introduced a Pet Simulator X (PSX) pet that costs 18,999 Robux, which is equivalent to exactly $237.49. Is this for real? That is definitely a little far-fetched for the price of a virtual pet. Considering the fact that Roblox’s demographic is mainly kids, how would one afford such an expensive buy without pressuring their parents? As a parent, my answer would be a hard N.O.

PSX 2

PSX is the latest of the Pet Simulator series on the Roblox platform. Players go about collecting coins and gems to unlock powerful pets. Hatch eggs and purchase new biomes with your hard-earned coins, and unlock new worlds as you progress through the game. Now, it seems like you have to use more than your hard-earned coins to progress further or purchase more pets. It feels a bit ludicrous that you have to spend a big amount of actual money for special purchases in the game.

What it seems to be is that the game developers are trying to make a quick buck. After making it pretty impossible to get the rarer pets, they have also put loads of other pets behind a paywall, and they too come at a fair price. Fair enough that game developers need money to maintain and improve their games, but to specially release a new pet just for a quick cash grab, pretty sure most players can agree that this does not sit well on their palate. Many have also noticed that there has been little to no work on game improvement, and they have gone months without an update until the recent release of Cat World this November.

PSX

Cat World has been a breath of fresh air and has opened up quite a few exciting doors to the game. You can take a trip to Cat World through The Void if you have unlocked the Pixel Vault, and behold a brand-new Kitty Kingdom with different habitats and well, cats!
