The Talking Tom & Friends franchise currently holds the title of most downloaded apps in the last 10 years. Game developer Outfit7 has created an array of over 20 Talking Tom & Friends games available, with My Talking Angela 2 being the newest of the lot. After its release date on 13th July 2021, it gained immediate traction and pulled in over 120 million downloads in its first month.
Outfit7 strategically expanded the brand after My Talking Tom, introducing new characters, systems and gameplay experiences. It all began with a single grey cat named Tom, then came his friends, Gina the Giraffe and Ben the Dog, and it all steamrolled on from there. With 18 billion downloads and counting over the last decade until this day, the Talking Tom & Friends franchise easily houses some of the most profitable mobile games today.

For My Talking Tom’s 10th anniversary, Outfit7 called upon all fans and users from all around the world to be part of Pok-A-Tom! The aim was for every player to collectively poke Tom 10 billion times in 10 days. If this were a success, everyone would be rewarded with generous in-game currency bundles! It was, and they did. Outfit7 generously rewarded all participants with free coins for their incredible effort.
The Talking Tom & Friends apps have become so popular that Disney Interactive Studios produced a 10-episode mini web series based on it in 2012 called, Talking Friends. Later on in December 2014, Outfit7 itself released the animated series “Talking Tom & Friends” of their popular characters that ran for 5 seasons.
