Have you ever wanted to run an island full of bunnies? That’s exactly what you get when you play the relaxing bunny-collector game Usagi Shima. Created by the indie developer Jess Yu, this is an incredibly relaxing game you can play anywhere.
The game is inspired by a real island in Japan, Okunoshima, which is occupied almost entirely by bunnies, Usagi Shima lets you inhabit your own virtual version. It’s a world full of cute bunnies that are there to help you relax at the end of a long day.
The gameplay is a lot like Animal Crossing, you start on the abandoned island of Usagi Shima. Once you open the game, it provides an easy to follow walk thru of everything you need to do to bring the bunnies to your island. The more structures and luxuries you build, the more bunnies will come to your island.
As more bunnies come to your island, you’ll be able to start interacting with them. With more than 30 different bunnies, you’ll have your hands full. You can then join them in some mini games, such as hide-and-seek with one of the bunnies. If you prefer to just sit back and relax, you can pet your visitors and develop friendships with them.
Beyond the relaxing gameplay, the graphics provide a very cozy feel to the game, helping you to immerse yourself in the gorgeous island environment. Nor do you need to feel that you have to come back and play at regular intervals. Play when you need a break, when you are feeling stressed, or just to check in with your bunny friends.
The game was released on September 1, 2023, and is available on iOS and Android. You can get a copy from App Store or Google Play.
